Over 35 years ago we started The Golden Ox on the Redcliffe Peninsula with the aspiration to provide exceptional food and service. Last Saturday on November the 30th we hosted a delightful dinner to commemorate this significant milestone. This exceptional event was not only a celebration, but also a new stepping stone to take us confidently into the future.
“We began with the desire to serve award winning food, provide great service and build relationships with everyone that comes through our doors,” said Nick Tzimas, owner of The Golden Ox. “Our 35th anniversary was not only special to us, but also to our loyal guests, friends and team members who’ve been such a big part of our survival and success throughout the years.”
The well known three-piece party band “Havana” played some incredible tunes during the evening’s festivities. Playing hits from rock and roll, Latin and even Greek music, they had the entire room on their feet and dancing throughout the night. Head chef Peter Tzimas and chef de cuisine Shannon Farmer together with the rest of the team created a special five course degustation menu to mark this momentous occasion. Ranging from fresh seafood to delectable desserts, this menu had our guests raving about the incredible tastes and textures of the dishes.
We at The Golden Ox are very appreciative of all the help we have received over the years from the entire community, and we look forward to continue sharing our unique culinary creations with all of you. The future is looking even brighter, and you can be rest assured we will always endeavour to provide you with exceptional cuisine and service, while creating unforgettable memories and treasured experiences.
