On Sunday, 12 May 2019 we will be joining millions of people around the world to celebrate “Mother’s Day”. Head Chef, Peter Tzimas and his team have crafted a delicious menu that includes fresh Mooloolaba King Prawns, grass fed Rib Fillet and a warm apple walnut and date pudding served with butterscotch sauce, rhubarb compote and vanilla ice-cream for dessert.
Some mothers will receive roses and extravagant gifts, others will be given hand-made trinkets made with love and some will get burnt toast with weak tea in bed for breakfast. And some lucky mothers will be treated to an amazing day out at The Golden Ox Restaurant, located on the Redcliffe Peninsula, where they will enjoy a delicious 2 or 3 course meal.
The hardest part of mum’s day at the award-winning restaurant will be whether to order the Macadamia Barramundi or the Tasmanian Salmon for her main! Although that choice will be followed by another important decision – will she select the Chocolate flourless cake with Bailey’s
mousse, macerated strawberry and strawberry ice-cream or go for the Traditional Pavlova with coconut mousse, toasted shaved coconut lashings of cream, fresh strawberries, passionfruit and guava coulis?
Our special Mother’s Day Menu offers two dining options: Main Course + Dessert + Tea & Coffee for $54pp; or Three Courses + Tea & Coffee for $69pp.
