What would we do without our mothers? Mother’s Day has officially arrived, as The Golden Ox is proud to have held one of our signature Mother’s Day events just to celebrate the day. Although every day should be Mother’s Day, we made sure today would be super special for all of our guests, and a celebration for some of the strongest most admirable people we know.
The day started with a decadent lunch where our guests could choose two courses or three, and families began to arrive with guests of all ages. Every generation was coming together to celebrate the universal bond of a mother’s love.
Our Grande room and our restaurant were full of love, happy conversation and nostalgic memories. Head Chef Shannon, along with Jason, Danielle and the rest of the restaurant team were creating all the dishes, while our floor team was working hard to provide our guests the best service.
The food was an amazing success, and a great hit among our guests. There was delicious chicken supreme stuffed with brie and semi dried tomatoes, Paris mash potato and topped with a tomato basil sauce. As well as our Toowoomba Range Sirloin with potato gratin, semi dried tomato, season baby vegetables and bordelaise sauce.
Our wonderful guests were excited to begin their dining experience, and bonded over the delicious food, great atmosphere and wonderful service.
Lisa Leece and her family gave us some kind words, “The food is wonderful and we’re having an amazing experience. It’s so good to celebrate today with family.”
The Branney family also offered some kind feedback, saying, “It has been absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our main courses and our sweets and the service has been wonderful.”
Being a family-run business, we always put family first. It was completely heart-warming and rewarding to know that our guests had a great time dining and bonding. We wish to thank everybody who attended the event and for making it such a great success, and for making this one of the most memorable Mother’s Days so far.
